Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA)

International Roadcheck

June 5th-7th

For your information:

The time of year is fast-approaching for the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) International Roadcheck which takes place June 5-7, 2018.  International Roadcheck is the largest targeted enforcement program on commercial motor vehicles in the world, with an average 17 trucks and busses inspected every minute in Canada, the United States and Mexico during a 72-hour period.

This year’s focus will be on hours-of-service compliance, so it is important to remind our Drivers that are not utilizing an ELD, to carry a copy of the ELD exemption notice (click here to view exemption)  in order to provide to enforcement along with your paper log book containing the previous 7-days of logs.  Although the focus this year is on hours-of-service, inspectors will primarily conduct the North American Standard Level I Inspection which includes an examination of both the Driver operating requirements and vehicle mechanical fitness. Now is a great time to thoroughly inspect your vehicles and alert fellow Drivers in order to create the best possible outcome during an inspection.
