International Workers’ Rights Day March: Shut it Down Los Angeles
May 1, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 3:00 pm
Monday, May 1st || 11am || MacArthur Park Marching to City Hall for Workers’ Rights
Join us on May 1st as we honor and celebrate working people across the nation and around the world. May Day is a day to honor those who have fought for the rights of all workers in the Labor Movement throughout history, as well as address the current threats to fellow workers and middle class families. We will be joining the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, fellow Teamster Locals, and other labor Unions and community organizations to March on May 1st. We invite you to join us and “Shut it Down” for Workers’ Rights on May 1st. We will be marching in solidarity with our Sisters and Brothers to take a stand against any and all attacks on working people. The Labor Movement has worked to continually mold and shape this nation fighting for fair wages, good working conditions, 40 hour work week, sick leave, minimum wage, sexual harassment laws, child labor laws and more.
Let’s show Los Angeles the labor movement is still the entity fighting for the rights of all middle-class Americans.
