Teamsters Local 399 Local Union Election || Please read information below carefully
We have just received word that Ballots for our Local Union Election will be placed in the mail this morning and are on their way to all active Members.
Please keep in mind, in order for your ballot to count you MUST be paid through September 2016 no later than 5PM on October 11th, 2016.
If you have not paid for the 3rd Quarter (July, August,September) by the last business day of September your account will go SUSPENDED. If you have questions about your paid through date, please contact the Front Office: 818-985-7374 and we will gladly look into your account.
All ballots will be counted on Wednesday October 12, 2016 at the Local Union Hall in the ‘B’ Building. If you do not receive a ballot, or deface your ballot, a duplicate must be requested via telephone at (818) 985-7374 no later than on the close of business on October 6, 2016.
The California Elections Company has been hired to oversee and count the ballots. This is the same company that handled the IBT Delegates election and the Local 399 elections for many years.
When the ballots arrive at the Post Office they go to a sealed PO Box that can only be unsealed on October 12, 2016 by a representative of the California Elections Company.
Observers from both slates can request to go with the election company to observe the pick-up of the ballots from the Post Office and can observe the ballot count here at the Local.
No members from either campaign will handle or count ballots.
Your vote is secret and no one from either slate will know how you voted. The only information both slates will receive is the total number of members who voted.
Ballots must be received at the address printed on the return envelope in your Ballot Packet no later than 9:00AM, October 12, 2016. NO walk-in ballots will be accepted.
If you have any further questions, please contact the front office: 818-985-7374
We encourage all Members to VOTE and to VOTE your conscience.
