As part of the Governor’s Emergency Proclamation, the California Labor & Workforce Development Agency (LWDA) has waived the one-week waiting period for people who are unemployed and/or disabled as a result of COVID-19. Additionally, the Employment Development Department of The State of California provides a variety of support services to individuals affected by COVID-19 in California. Whether you are sick, quarantined, caregiving for an ill or quarantined family member, experiencing reduced work hours or potential business closures, the EDD has options for you.
