Dear Leo,
I’d like to thank you for your generous support of the 32nd Annual Heartbeat of Hollywood Golf Classic this past June. Once again, the event was a tremendous success; and raised over $750,000 for the Motion Picture & Television Fund.
I am thrilled to share with you just how the funds raised at the Heartbeat are helping to serve thousands of entertainment industry workers and their families through health care and charitable social services. The Heartbeat of Hollywood Committee has approved the purchase of a 32 feet medical mobile unit which will enhance the Fund’s ability to serve a larger industry population.
One of the challenges of our industry’s workforce is accessing health care on shooting days that often last for 12-14 hours and are on various locations throughout Los Angeles County. The mobile unit will reach industry members where they are working to make sure they maintain their health needs and provide prevention to help keep them healthy and on the set. In addition, the health mobile unit will see patients that maybe temporarily under insured or uninsured. MPTF doctors have agreed to donate their time for this critical service and your Heartbeat donations will help MPTF subsidize these costs.
Each year the Heartbeat Committee asks for your support. You have helped make this golf outing one of the most successful benefit golf event of its type.
On behalf of the Heartbeat of Hollywood Committee and the Motion Picture & Television Fund please accept our heartfelt Thank You!
Sincerely,
Ken Scherer, CEO
MPTF Foundation
